Staff and Congregational Leadership

Congregational Leadership
The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is a congregational denomination. Lay leadership is at the foundation of each congregation. Our church council leads our congregation. We have at least one congregational meeting a year to approve the budget and to elect  members of council. Council members serve for three years and may be reappointed after "sitting out" for a year. Our treasurer(s) serve unlimited terms.

Staff
Chapel Hill Christian Church is served by three ordained ministers.  All are bi-vocational. Rebecca McCulloh is one of our pastors. She also works as a mental health counselor at Taking Care of You in Carrboro. Mike Shannon is also a pastor of Chapel Hill Christian Church. He also serves as Director of Chaplain and Bereavement Services at Alamance-Caswell Hospice.

Charles Bradshaw is also a regular musician at Chapel Hill Christian Church. Charles plays twice a month and also is the Director of United Voices of Praise, and a member of the Charles Bradshaw quarter. Other musicians include:  John Clarke, Carol Cantrell, Rocky Comer, Robin Davis, and Mark Simmonsen.

Our ministry to young children is staffed by Greg Watrous and Silva Stumpf.  Greg also works in the YMCA children's program.  Silva works at the Little School of Hillsborough.

Our artistic director and web site creator is Zannie Gunn.
